Cubital tunnel release and ulnar nerve transfer are surgical procedures designed to relieve pressure on the ulnar nerve, which runs along the inner side of the elbow. Compression of this nerve can cause numbness, tingling, pain, and weakness in the hand and fingers—a condition known as cubital tunnel syndrome.
